A Little Autumn Reminder: Acorns & Our Dogs 🍂🐾
As the seasons shift, you might notice our beautiful oak trees lining the fields are heavy
with acorns right now. Naturally, these will start dropping to the ground over the coming weeks.
While they’re a classic sign of autumn, it’s important to remember that acorns can
be toxic to dogs if eaten. They can also cause impaction in the gut, which is uncomfortable
(and potentially dangerous) for our four-legged friends.
The good news is that most dogs don’t find acorns very tasty and will usually leave them
well alone. Still, it’s always worth keeping a close eye, just in case a curious pup decides to give
one a try.
Of course, acorns are a completely natural part of the environment, and they’re not unique
to our fields—but we wanted to share a gentle reminder to help keep all visiting dogs safe and happy
while they play.
Enjoy those crisp autumn walks, and thank you for helping us look out for each other’s
furry friends 🙂🐕🐾
