FAQ

What is an enclosed dog walking park?

An enclosed dog walking park is a specially designed outdoor space where dogs can run, play, and exercise off-leash in a safer, more controlled environment. Cei Meadows Dog Park offers a private, spacious field fully enclosed by 6-foot fences with airlock gates, giving dog owners peace of mind as their dogs explore freely without the risk of casually running off or encountering other dogs, people, traffic, or wildlife. Our park features three separate paddocks - 'Rupert's Runaround', 'Maisie's Meadow' and 'Ruby's Retreat', each equipped with seating for owners, water bowls for dogs, and red dog poo bins, all designed to ensure a convenient and enjoyable experience for both dogs and their owners.

We're conveniently situated on Mold Road (B5126), just on the outskirts of Connah's Quay, heading towards Northop. Our location in Deeside, Flintshire is close to major towns such as Flint, Mold, Buckley, Chester, the Wirral and surrounding areas. For detailed directions, you can check out the Google map on our contact page or you can get detailed directions from our Google listing on Google Maps (opens a new window). If you have any difficulty finding us, feel free to reach out for assistance.

We're open 7 days a week, but our hours adjust throughout the season for safety reasons due to changing daylight. Below is a general guide to our typical opening times, but for the most up-to-date information, please check our website or booking system.

April-September: 6am to 9pm
October: 7am to 7pm
November-February: 7am to 5pm
February-April: 7am to 6pm

We've experienced all kinds of weather since opening - sun, wind, rain, snow, and ice - the latter of which means the ground in all paddocks can get quite soggy. Luckily, your dog won’t mind one bit - they’ll love it! However, for your convenience, we have Mud Daddy washers by the entrance to rinse them off, but don’t forget to bring a towel (or two), your wellies, and a bag to store them in for a cleaner car journey home. Even in summer, we have a paddling pool, so a towel is always a good idea! Make sure you bring a drink with you to keep hydrated in summer and a nice warm brew always helps in the winter! We have dog poo bags and bins but again, sometimes we run out so please bring some bags with you. Please do pick up your dogs poo to ensure it's always clean for the next visitor.

We encourage you to bring your own dogs toys but please from a point of safety and convenience, make sure you take them away with you including any broken toys, especially balls and anything that could potentially become a choking hazard. We provide water bowls for your dogs, but during the winter months, they can freeze quickly. We recommend bringing water with you just in case.

Don't worry! If the access code you received doesn't work, simply give us a call on 07743 660146 and we will immediately provide you with the correct code. We're here to ensure your entry goes smoothly!

Each paddock at Cei Meadows Dog Park now features its own pavilion - a roofed wooden shelter, providing welcome relief on both hot and rainy days. We've also included a picnic bench in each paddock, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your time with your dog.

As at 21st February 2025 we have introduced a portaloo on site for customers of Cei Meadows with a combination lock for entry which will be provided with your booking confirmation.

If you have any further suggestions on how we can improve the park, please let us know! We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to grow and enhance the experience for everyone.

While the park is typically unsupervised, you may frequently see us around performing routine maintenance. Each paddock is equipped with an airlock gate that you can drive into upon arrival. To enter, simply use the entry code sent to you in your booking confirmation email. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, please stick to your allotted time slot and leave the park clean and tidy. Remember to take all toys and valuables with you when you leave.

If you visit Cei Meadows and enjoy your experience, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share your feedback. You can leave a review through our website by filling out the contact form, visit our Facebook page and tap on the review tab, or via our Google My Business listing.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your visit, we kindly ask that you speak to us first (call 07743660146) before leaving a review. As a newly opened facility, neutral or negative reviews can be disheartening and potentially harmful. We're committed to getting things right and are always eager to listen and improve based on your feedback. We want your custom, we want you to return! Our mission is to have many happy customers and just as importantly, very happy dogs so we are always keen on your thoughts and of course any ideas or suggestions of what you might like to see at Cei Meadows are most welcome! This park is for you to enjoy!
